  • The Town of Danville owns, operates and maintains over 167 acres of parkland, most of which is used for active recreation.  Six community parks which include amenities such as children’s play equipment, sports fields, picnic areas, bocce ball courts, a dog park, and walking trails. In addition, 20 acres have been improved with trails or special use facilities. 

  • Sports Fields are open for the season

    Natural grass sports fields maintained by the Town of Danville and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District within the Towns of Danville and Alamo are all currently open barring inclement weather. To get information on the current status of Danville sports fields as well as the dog park at Hap Magee Ranch Park, residents are encouraged to contact the Maintenance Information Line, at 314-3484. The message on the information line is updated by Noon on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends when weather conditions prompt closures.

  • Park Regulations:

    The residents of Danville take great pride in their park facilities. To ensure that park visitors enjoy the facilities, the Town Council has adopted Ordinance 91-13 governing park use.

    • Drive and Park Vehicles only in Marked Parking Areas
    • Do not operate unauthorized vehicles on park grounds or pathways.
    • Beer and wine may be consumed with picnics in designated picnic areas.
    • Leash and clean up after your dog.
    • Leash law enforced by county animal control.
    • No dogs allowed in ponds or water features.

     

    The following activities are prohibited in the parks:

    • Removal of flowers or other plant foliage
    • Motorized boats, rockets or planes.
    • Golf

     

    PARKS ARE OPEN FOR USE ONLY DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

    LIGHTED SPORTS FIELDS ARE AVAILABLE BY RESERVATION.

  • Water Feature Hours of Operation

    May 1st through October 1st the water features at Diablo Vista Park, Hap Magee Ranch Park, Oak Hill Park and Sycamore Valley Park operate from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. On inclement weather days, the water features are be turned off. 

    EBMUD is still requesting voluntary water use reductions by residents, businesses and governments.

    • 20-acre park with children’s play area and group picnic tables
    • Sand volleyball, basketball, lighted sports fields, tennis courts
    • A snack shack is available to rent

    Hap Magee Ranch Park

    • Group picnic area with barbecues and play area
    • Dog Park which includes separate area for dogs weighing less than 25 lbs.

    Oak Hill Park

    • Features a small lake surrounded by mature trees, lawns, and level pathways
    • Sand volleyball court with group picnic area includes seven tables and three barbecue pits

    Osage Station Park

    • 35-acre park with memorial rose garden
    • Children’s play area and water feature with nearby group picnic area with barbecue pits
    • Tennis courts, baseball diamonds, soccer fields

    Sycamore Valley Park

    • Children’s play area with recreational water fountain
    • Lighted bocce ball and basketball courts
    • Jogging path that meanders through the park
    • All weather turf sports fields
