Engineering

The Engineering Division provides engineering supports to the various Town operating departments, implements the Town's Capital Improvement Program and perform plan checks for all private development projects. General work includes annexation, surveying, special studies, mapping and responding to citizens of Danville and other agencies.

Subdivision Engineering is responsible for plan review, map checking and inspection of all private site developments that occurs within the Town of Danville. Subdivision Engineering reviews and approves all Subdivision maps, issues Site Development permits for grading or other improvements on private property and Encrochment permits for all works within the public right-of-way.

Capital Improvement Program implements the Town's construction program for new facilities and major maintenance projects. It provides design, surveying, scheduling, and construction management for the projects. This section also conducts public hearings and informational meetings, and coordinates with outside agencies for funding, joint projects, and project review.
